Budokaikan International World Sokeship Council

The Budokaikan International World Sokeship Council will be accepting Applications for the sanctioning and recognition of new Soke beginning April 1, 2002. The application process is simple. All who wish to have their system of Martial Arts sanctioned, recognized and registered withthe Budokaikan International Federation of Martial Arts and to be recognized and admitted to the Budokaikan International World Sokeship Council must first be members of the Federation.

Upon acceptance as a member of Budokaikan Internatinal, you must submit your system via video tape, covering all required techniques up to Yondan. A written description of the requirements as well as the ranking system must also be included. This will allow the Council to review your system and evaluate the syaytem to ensure that there is no other system identical to the one being presented for sanctioning.

Upon review, the Budokaikan International World Sokeship Council convenes and deliberates over the syaytem. If found favorable, the Council will then notify the applicant and the proces of granting Sokeship begins. In the event that there are two or more member Soke who object to the system being sanctioned, a letter will be sent to the applicant and recommendations by the World Sokeship Council Director will be made.

If you are the legitimat heir to an already recognized and sanctioned system, proof of the same must be provided to the Council before certification/licensing as Soke will or can be made.

The Council is scheduled to covene on Saturday, June 22 at the National Ju Jitsu Federation's 1st Annual Ju Jitsu Clinic (for details contact Soke Chase at shodaisoke@yahoo.com or Soke Cozatt at j.cozatt@mindspring.com ).
